Welcome back! In our previous B2 lessons, we looked at advanced vocabulary and idioms. Today, we are looking at how native speakers actually talk outside the classroom. To sound natural, you must understand informal English and slang. We will cover everyday phrases like hang out and grab a bite . More importantly, we will learn the crucial skill of register matching —knowing exactly when it is appropriate to use slang versus formal language. Vocabulary List: Hang out (Phrasal Verb) - To spend time relaxing with someone. Grab a bite (Idiom) - To get something to eat quickly. No worries (Phrase) - A friendly way to say you are welcome or it is okay. Hit me up (Slang) - Call or message me later. Chill (Verb/Adjective) - Relaxed; to relax. Common Mistake: Register Mismatch Using slang is great with friends, but inappropriate with your boss or in formal emails. Always match your language to the situation.
