Welcome to B1 Intermediate Vocabulary! I am Teacher Sopheak. At this level, expressing yourself goes beyond just saying "I am happy" or "He is good."

When I manage teams or coordinate with guests for multi-day tour rentals, I need vocabulary that accurately captures complex personalities and high-pressure situations. Today, we will learn how to describe exactly how people act and feel in professional environments.

warning Watch Out: -ED vs -ING Adjectives

In English, feeling adjectives have two forms. This is a very common trap for ESL students!

person Use -ED

For how a person feels.
Example: "I am overwhelmed by the work."

For what causes the feeling.
Example: "The work is overwhelming."
