Welcome to A2! At this level, memorizing lists of words is no longer enough. To truly expand your English fluency, you need to learn how to discover what new words mean and how to retain them. In this interactive lesson, we will explore powerful learning strategies like using context clues , grouping words by category, and making associations with opposites. We will also look at why relying too heavily on a dictionary can actually slow down your learning progress. Vocabulary Learning Strategies: Context Clue (Strategy) - Information around a new word that helps you guess its meaning. Group (Strategy) - To put things together because they are similar. Opposite (Association) - A word that means completely different things. Similar (Association) - A word that means almost the same thing. Common Mistake: Translating Every Word Do not use your dictionary for every single word! Translating every single word makes reading very slow and boring.
