Lesson 9: Prepositions of Time & Place
When arranging schedules or giving directions, getting small connection words right is crucial. Prepositions of time and place tell us exactly when and where things happen. In Khmer, people often use a single word (áž“ៅ - nou ) for 'in', 'on', and 'at' when talking about places. In English, however, you must be specific! We say 'in' a city, 'on' a street, and 'at' a specific address. Vocabulary List: In (Place) - Inside a large area, city, or country. On (Time) - Used for specific days of the week and dates. At (Time/Place) - Used for a specific clock time or an exact address/location. Under (Place) - Below or covered by something else. Next to (Place) - Beside or immediately next to someone or something. During (Time) - Throughout the course or duration of a period of time.
