Lesson 9: Prepositions of Time & Place

When arranging schedules or giving directions, getting small connection words right is crucial. Prepositions of time and place tell us exactly when and where things happen.

In Khmer, people often use a single word (áž“ៅ - nou) for 'in', 'on', and 'at' when talking about places. In English, however, you must be specific! We say 'in' a city, 'on' a street, and 'at' a specific address.

warning Common Mistake
Many languages use a single generic word for general locations, but English requires specific prepositions depending on whether you are inside an enclosed space, on a surface, or at an exact point.
