Today we are tackling one of the most confusing parts of English: phrasal verbs that have more than one meaning. Vocabulary List: Take off (Flight) - ហោះហើរ Take off (Remove) - ដោះចេញ Pick up (Lift) - លើកឡើង Pick up (Collect) - ទៅទទួល Make up (Invent) - ប្រឌិតរឿង Make up (Reconcile) - ត្រូវគ្នាវិញ Common Mistake: Literal Translation Context is everything! You cannot translate a phrasal verb word-for-word into Khmer. You must look at the surrounding sentence to know which meaning is being used.
