Welcome to B1 Intermediate Vocabulary! Mastering phrasal verbs is one of the biggest steps toward sounding like a native English speaker. In this lesson, we will explore the difference between separable and inseparable phrasal verbs, and learn the golden rule about pronoun placement. Vocabulary List: Turn on (Separable) - To start a machine or light. Pick up (Separable) - To go somewhere to collect someone or something. Look for (Inseparable) - To try to find something lost or hidden. Run into (Inseparable) - To meet someone by chance. Common Mistake: Pronoun Placement If the object of a separable phrasal verb is a pronoun (it, them, him, her), it MUST go in the middle. For example: 'Pick it up' is correct. 'Pick up it' is wrong.
