Lesson 2: Essential Separable & Inseparable Phrasal Verbs
Essential Separable & Inseparable Phrasal Verbs Welcome back! I am Teacher Sopheak. My intermediate students often ask me how to sound more like a native speaker. The secret is mastering phrasal verbs. Vocabulary List: Turn on (Separable) - áž”ើក (ម៉ាស៊ីáž“, áž—្áž›ើáž„) Pick up (Separable) - ទទួáž› (មនុស្ស), យក (របស់) Look for (Inseparable) - ស្ážœែងរក Run into (Inseparable) - ជួបដោយចៃដន្áž™ Common Mistake: Pronoun Placement If the object of a separable phrasal verb is a pronoun (it, them, him, her), it MUST go in the middle. For example: 'Pick it up' is correct. 'Pick up it' is wrong. Please enable JavaScript to view the interactive flashcards, take the quiz, and download the audio resources.
