Welcome back! I am Mr. Sopheak, your English teacher. Have you ever noticed how often we use the word 'very' ? We say 'very hot', 'very good', and 'very tired' all the time. At the B1 intermediate level, it is time to upgrade your vocabulary. By understanding synonyms, antonyms, and shades of meaning (extreme adjectives), you will sound much more natural, professional, and expressive. Vocabulary List: Synonym (Concept) - A word that means exactly or nearly the same as another word. Antonym (Concept) - A word opposite in meaning to another. Delighted (Extreme Adjective) - Feeling or showing great pleasure. Exhausted (Extreme Adjective) - Drained of one's physical or mental resources; very tired. Common Mistake: Extreme Adjectives Do not use the word 'very' with extreme adjectives! Because extreme adjectives already mean 'very + adjective', using 'very' with them is grammatically incorrect.
