To Be Verb

I am a teacher.

I teacher. In English, you must use the "be" verb (am, is, are) to connect a person to their job or status.

Correct: Sopheak is a guide. (Not: Sopheak guide).

Word Order

Red car

Car red. In some languages, the noun comes first. In English, the describing word (adjective) always comes before the noun.

Correct: We took a red car to the market.

Adjectives

Beautiful flowers

Beautifuls flowers. Adjectives never take an 's' in English. Only the noun becomes plural.

Correct: She bought three beautiful lotus flowers.

Verbs

He goes

He go. For He, She, and It in the present tense, you must add 's' or 'es' to the action verb.

Correct: My brother goes to school at 7:00 AM.

Articles

A dog

I have dog. You cannot leave a singular, countable noun alone. It needs an article like 'a', 'an', or 'the'.

Correct: We saw a dog sleeping near the temple.

Prepositions

On Monday

In Monday. Always use the preposition "on" for days of the week, not "in".

Correct: The night market is closed on Monday.
