Can you count it?
Some nouns can be counted (1, 2, 3...), but others (liquids, powders, ideas) cannot be counted directly.
🔹 Countable: Have plural forms (s/es). (នាមរាប់បាន)
🔹 Uncountable: Always singular. No numbers. (នាមរាប់មិនបាន)

Countable
Things you can count separately. Can use A/An or Numbers.

| Two cars | ឡាន ២ |
| Many friends | មិត្តភ័ក្តិច្រើន |
Uncountable
Things viewed as a whole mass. No "A/An". Always singular verb.
| Water | ទឹក |
| Rice | បាយ/អង្ករ |
| Much money | លុយច្រើន |
Quantifiers
We use different words to ask "How many/much".
| Countable: | Many / A few |
| Uncountable: | Much / A little |
| Both: | A lot of / Some |
Tricky Words
These are always Uncountable in English (even if you can count them in Khmer).
