Can you count it?

Some nouns can be counted (1, 2, 3...), but others (liquids, powders, ideas) cannot be counted directly.

🔹 Countable: Have plural forms (s/es). (នាមរាប់បាន)
🔹 Uncountable: Always singular. No numbers. (នាមរាប់មិនបាន)
Countable 1, 2, 3...
Things you can count separately. Can use A/An or Numbers.
An appleផ្លែប៉ោម ១
Two carsឡាន ២
Many friendsមិត្តភ័ក្តិច្រើន
Uncountable Mass / Liquid
Things viewed as a whole mass. No "A/An". Always singular verb.
Waterទឹក
Riceបាយ/អង្ករ
Much moneyលុយច្រើន
Quantifiers How much?
We use different words to ask "How many/much".
Countable:Many / A few
Uncountable:Much / A little
Both:A lot of / Some
Tricky Words ⚠️
These are always Uncountable in English (even if you can count them in Khmer).
Bread(នំប័ុង) Not "a bread"
Information(ព័ត៌មាន)
Advice(ដំបូន្មាន)
