Legal Court Case

Understanding trials, verdicts, and legal vocabulary.

Inside the Courtroom

Courtroom scenes are very common in movies, news, and television. To understand what is happening, you need to recognize the roles of the people speaking.

The Judge controls the room. The Prosecutor tries to prove the person is guilty, while the Defense tries to protect them. The Jury (a group of normal citizens) listens to everything and decides the final verdict: Guilty or Not Guilty.
