Lesson 38: Multi-Track Event (Conference Agenda)

Scanning

Conference Schedule

Scanning complex timetables with parallel tracks.

Lesson Goal: Learn how to navigate an event agenda with multiple rooms and tracks.

Timetables and Parallel Tracks

Large conferences often have "Parallel Tracks." This means different events happen at the same time in different rooms. To find what you want, you must scan for your interest category or specific Times.

First, locate the time on the left side of the schedule. Then, scan horizontally to see your options. For example, if you are a designer, you will look for "Track B" or the "Design" tag. If an event is for everyone (like a keynote), it will usually take up the whole row.

Go to the next tab to learn the conference vocabulary, then practice scanning the agenda in the Practice tab!
