High-Level Summaries
Busy professionals don't read 50-page reports. They read the Summary.
The Abstract 🎓
Used in academic papers, theses, and journals. It is highly objective and informational (around 150-300 words).
Executive Summary 💼
Used in business plans and proposals. It is persuasive and actionable (usually 1-2 pages). It answers: "Why should we spend money on this?"

Exec Summary: Can include a highly impactful chart or bullet points. (អាចមានតារាងខ្លីៗ ឬចំណុច Bullet points ដើម្បីងាយស្រួលមើល។)

Hi Lida! Abstracts are usually very concise, typically between 150 to 300 words maximum. It is usually just one single paragraph! 📝
Can I put charts or graphs in an Executive Summary?
Yes, you absolutely can! A small, highly impactful chart showing projected profits (ROI) is very common in an Executive Summary to catch a business person's eye. However, you should NEVER put a chart in an academic Abstract. 📊
Should I write the summary before or after I write the main report?
ALWAYS write it LAST! Even though it goes at the very beginning of the document, you cannot accurately summarize a report until the entire report is completely finished. Write it last! ⏳
