Where Is It?
Words that tell us where something is are called prepositions of place. They show the relationship between two things. Let's learn the three most common prepositions.
IN
Inside a space or container.
Example: The sugar is in the coffee.
ON
Touching a surface.
Example: Your phone is on the table.
UNDER
Below or beneath something.
Example: The cat is under the car.
