What is the difference between "plummet" and "dip"? They both mean going down.

Hi Makara! "Plummet" is a massive, fast, and often permanent fall (like a rock dropping). A "dip" is a small drop, and it usually recovers right after. trending_down

Can I say "soar up" to mean go up fast?

No need! "Soar" already means to go up very high. Adding "up" is redundant. Just say "Prices soared". trending_up

What does "exponentially" mean exactly? I hear it a lot in business.

It means the growth rate itself is growing! Imagine a sequence like: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. It curves upwards faster and faster over time. It's much stronger than saying "rapidly". rocket_launch
