Past Simple Passive

We use the Passive Voice when the Object (the thing receiving the action) is more important than the person who did it.

យើងប្រើទម្រង់អកម្ម (Passive) នៅពេលដែលកម្មបទ (អ្នករងអំពើ) មានសារៈសំខាន់ជាងប្រធាន (អ្នកធ្វើអំពើ)។ យើងផ្តោតលើ "អ្វីដែលបានកើតឡើង" ជាជាង "នរណាជាអ្នកធ្វើ"។

Excellent question, Rithy! We use it when the "who" doesn't matter, or we don't know who did it. For example, "Angkor Wat was built in the 12th century." The focus is on Angkor Wat, not the thousands of workers who built it! 🛕
