Great question, Channary! In English, the word "You" uses the exact same grammar rules whether you are talking to one person (singular) or a group of people (plural). Because of this, it is ALWAYS "You were", never "You was". Just memorize it as a package deal! 🎁
Teacher, why do we say "You were" if "You" is only one person? It's confusing!
