Speaking: Grammar in Speaking A2 - Lesson 3: Using "be going to" for Future Plans
Lesson 3: Future Plans (be going to) Welcome to your grammar training layout! I am Teacher Sopheak. We use the structured form 'be going to' to talk about intentions, actions, and arrangements we have already decided to complete in the future. Core Sentence Formations: Affirmative: I am going to visit my grandparents. / She is going to study medicine. Negative: I am not going to work tomorrow. / We aren't going to spend money. Interrogative: Are you going to travel next month? / Where are they going to stay? The Future Trap: Will vs. Going To Do not use 'will' for prior arrangements. If you have already bought tickets, say: 'I am going to fly to Paris,' not 'I will fly to Paris.'
