Good question, Sovan! There are general guidelines: "Make" is often for creating something new (make a cake, make a mistake), and "Do" is for tasks or activities (do homework, do business). But many are just memory! psychology

Don't try to memorize them all at once! The best way is to read a lot. When you learn a new word, learn its "partners" too. Don't just learn "mistake", learn "make a mistake". Learn them in chunks! menu_book
