Kimsan is a hardworking fisherman in Kep, and his close friend, Sreymom, runs a busy stall at the famous Kep Crab Market. This week, they are making plans for the annual Ocean Festival. It is a big event, and they have to sort out many details.
"Have you caught enough crabs for the weekend?" Sreymom asks as Kimsan ties his boat to the dock.
"I have already caught 50 kilos," Kimsan replies, "but I haven't wrapped up my fishing yet. I will go out again tonight. Have you confirmed the delivery for the extra ice?"
"Yes, I have. I called them yesterday," she says. "However, I haven't arranged the extra tables for the tourists."
They decide to sit down and review their itinerary for the festival. They have scheduled the live music for Saturday evening, but they have postponed the cooking competition because of the rain forecast.
"I have never organized such a huge event before," Sreymom admits, looking a bit worried. "Have we forgotten anything?"
Kimsan smiles. "Don't worry. We have already reserved the best spot on the beach. We will meet up with the town mayor tomorrow to finalize the last details. We haven't canceled any activities, and the tourists always love your spicy crab."
Making plans can be stressful, but Kimsan and Sreymom know that teamwork makes everything easier. They have worked together for years, and they are excited to share their beautiful coastal town with the visitors.
