Module 1: Basic Writing Mechanics (Alphabet, Capitals & Punctuation)

Module 1: Basic Writing Mechanics Welcome to your primary writing track. Writing in English requires clear physical boundaries to separate ideas. Without proper capitalization and punctuation, your sentences will crash into each other. Core Writing Mechanics: The Alphabet: Forming uppercase and lowercase shapes. Capital Letters: Used for the pronoun 'I', names of people/places, and the start of a sentence. Punctuation: Using full stops (.) to end statements, and question marks (?) to end questions. Form Filling: Applying these rules to write your Name, Address, and Nationality clearly. Typographic Trap: The Missing Full Stop A common error is forgetting to physically terminate a sentence. Always place a full stop at the immediate end of your final word to signal completion.
