Lesson 4: Basic Adjectives (Colors, Size, Feelings)
Welcome back to ESL Cambodia! To tell a good story, you need describing words. Today, we will learn basic adjectives—words that describe colors, sizes, and feelings. This will make your English sound much more colorful! In this interactive lesson, you will master words like 'Big', 'Small', 'Happy', and 'Tired'. We will also look at a very common mistake ESL students make regarding Adjective Order in English sentences. Vocabulary List: Red (Color) - A bright color like fire or an apple. Blue (Color) - The color of the clear sky. Big (Size) - Large in size. Small (Size) - Tiny, not large. Happy (Feeling) - Feeling joy or pleasure. Tired (Feeling) - Needing sleep or rest. Common Mistake: Adjective Order In many languages, the noun comes first (Shirt Blue). In English, the adjective comes first (Blue Shirt).
