Low-Frequency Lexicon & Etymology Welcome to the highest level of vocabulary mastery. I am Teacher Sopheak, and today we will look at how understanding the ancient roots of words can unlock the most advanced English texts. Vocabulary List: Ephemeral (Adjective) - រយៈពេលខ្លី / មិនស្ថិតស្ថេរ Sycophant (Noun) - អ្នកបញ្ចើចបញ្ចើ / អ្នកឡេមឡឺម Pernicious (Adjective) - ដែលមានគ្រោះថ្នាក់យ៉ាងកំបាំង Mellifluous (Adjective) - ពីរោះរណ្តំ Study Tip: Etymology Memorizing advanced words is difficult. Instead, study their Latin or Greek roots. For example, 'mel' means honey in Latin, which helps us understand why 'mellifluous' means sweet-sounding.
