Welcome to B1 Vocabulary! I am Teacher Sopheak. In my classes, I always tell my students that English is full of surprises. Sometimes, words do not mean exactly what they say.
When native speakers talk naturally, they use Idioms. An idiom is a phrase where the meaning is completely different from the individual words. Mastering these will make your English sound much more fluent!
Core Idioms & Phrases
Example: Learning to ride a bicycle in Battambang was a piece of cake for him.
Example: Dara didn't go to the Angkor Wat tour because he was feeling a bit under the weather.
Example: Before her Apsara dance performance, I smiled and told her to break a leg!
Example: We have been studying English grammar for three hours. Let's call it a day.
