Mystery at Midnight
Lesson Goal: Practice listening to a story to find clues, identify suspects, and understand the sequence of events.
Listening for Clues
When listening to a mystery or a story, you must act like a detective. You don't just listen to the words; you need to listen closely to piece together the sequence of events and identify the clues.
Listen carefully to who the people are, where they were, and what they say to defend themselves. For example, if a detective asks a suspect where they were last night, you must listen for their alibi (their proof that they were somewhere else).
