Finding the Important Facts
When you receive an official letter from the government or a utility company, it can look scary. The document is often filled with complicated legal vocabulary that you might not know.
The good news is that you don't need to read every single word. You must use scanning to find what action is required from you. Always look for the Date (when is this due?), the Location (where do I go?), and the Amount (how much is the fine?). Look carefully for warnings about what happens if you ignore the letter!
