Buying Clothes

Asking for sizes and using the fitting room.

Lesson Goal: Learn how to communicate with shop assistants when trying on clothes and checking if they fit.

Finding the Perfect Fit

Shopping for clothes in a foreign language can be tricky, especially because sizes change depending on the country!

When you go to a clothing store, you will likely need to ask the assistant where you can try on the clothes. If the item doesn't feel right, you need to be able to explain the problem clearly. You can say it is "too tight" (too small) or "too loose" (too big). Finally, you should know how to ask for a different size (like Small, Medium, or Large).
