Lesson 24: Banking UI

🏦 Finance Lab
Scanning
Lesson Goal: Learn to quickly find important numbers and details on banking apps, statements, and digital receipts.

Scanning Financial Documents

When checking your bank account or a payment app, you don't need to read every single word on the screen. Instead, you use scanning to find the exact numbers you need.

For example, if you want to know how much total money you have, you don't read the menu options; your eyes look directly for the word balance. If you just sent money to a friend, you check the recipient name and the transaction history to make sure it was successful.

You also learn to quickly scan for symbols. You look for plus signs (+) or green text to find a deposit, and minus signs (-) or red text for a withdrawal. Scanning helps you manage your money quickly and avoid an overdraft!
