How to Read a Job Ad
When you are searching for a job, you will look at dozens of advertisements. You don't have time to read every single word! Instead, you must use a skill called scanning to find the most important details.
Employers use bold headings to organize their job posts. The first thing you should scan for is the Location (is it near you, or is it remote?) and the Salary. If the job pays too little or is too far away, you don't need to read the rest!
If the basics look good, your eyes should jump to the Qualifications section. This is usually a bulleted list. Scan it quickly to see if you have the right degree or experience. Finally, always check the Deadline so you don't apply too late.
