Why Use Advanced Connectors?
At an A2/B1 level, you use simple connectors like and, but, and so. At a B2 level, you need to show more complex relationships in a more formal style. These advanced connectors (also called "cohesive devices") help you do that.
😐 B1 Level (Good, but simple)
"I like living in Siem Reap. It has old temples and good food. But it is very hot. So, I stay inside in the afternoon."
👍 B2 Level (Strong & Cohesive)
"I enjoy living in Siem Reap for two main reasons. First, it has magnificent temples. Furthermore, the food is exceptional. However, it can be uncomfortably hot, especially in April. Consequently, I tend to stay inside during the afternoon."
