Repeat a key word as a question. It shows you are listening and prompts them to explain more. (និយាយត្រាប់តាមពាក្យសំខាន់ដើម្បីឱ្យគេពន្យល់បន្ថែម)

A: I went to a great restaurant. A: ខ្ញុំបានទៅភោជនីយដ្ឋានដ៏ល្អមួយ។

Hi Vireak! It depends on your voice tone. If your voice goes UP at the end, it shows excitement and interest. If it goes DOWN and sounds flat, it can sound like you are accusing them of lying! 🎙️

If your mind goes blank, just use the phrase "Tell me more about it." It is the perfect magic phrase that forces the other person to keep talking! ✨

Body language is great! Nodding is very important. But combining a nod with a short phrase like "I see" or "Uh-huh" shows that you are deeply engaged in the English conversation. 🗣️
