*For 2000-2009, we say: "Two thousand and one" (2001).

Teacher, if someone asks "What day is it today?" can I just answer "Monday"? Or do I need to say "Today is Monday"?

Hi Sokha! In spoken English, just saying "Monday" or "It's Monday" is perfectly fine and natural! 😊
