Hi Vireak! Nominalization allows you to focus on the concept or process rather than the person doing it. It removes "I" or "We", making the tone highly objective and academic. school

It can actually do both! You can say "Notwithstanding the rain, we played" OR "The rain notwithstanding, we played." Both are correct and very formal! rainy

In casual daily chat? Almost never. But in formal speeches, political debates, or academic lectures? Absolutely. It adds a dramatic, sophisticated emphasis. mic
