Advanced Q&A
Not always, Sovan! It's a tool. If you want to be persuasive or energetic, use Active Voice. But if you need to deliver bad news without blaming someone (Diplomacy), Passive Voice is excellent ("The invoice wasn't processed" vs. "You didn't process the invoice"). 🛡️
How do I sound polite but firm? If I use hedging, won't I sound weak?
Great question. You mix them! Use hedging to soften the *problem*, but clear action verbs for the *solution*. For example: "While there *seems* to be a delay (hedge), we *require* the final draft by Friday (firm action)." ⚖️
