Using "Have got"

In spoken English, we often say have got or has got instead of just "have" to talk about things we own, our family, or characteristics.

ក្នុងការនិយាយភាសាអង់គ្លេស យើងនិយមប្រើពាក្យ "have got" ឬ "has got" ជំនួសឱ្យ "have" ដើម្បីនិយាយអំពីរបស់ដែលយើងមាន គ្រួសារ ឬលក្ខណៈសម្បត្តិ។

Hi Sokha! They mean the exact same thing! "I have a pen" is more formal and common in writing (especially American English). "I have got a pen" is very common in informal speaking (especially British English). Both are correct! star

No, Mony! We only use "have got" for possession (things you own), relationships, or illness. We do NOT use it for actions or routines. So you must say: "I have a shower every morning." shower
