At the A2 level, reading is no longer just about recognizing individual words; it is about reading smoothly and understanding the overall message quickly. Core Reading Strategies Covered: Predicting Content: Using titles and visual graphics to activate your brain before reading the text. Punctuation Awareness: Treating commas and periods as traffic lights that tell your voice when to pause or stop. Text Chunking: Grouping words together into natural phrases instead of reading like a robot. Linguistic Trap: The Word-by-Word Robot Many students read every single word with equal stress and a full stop after each one. This destroys fluency and makes it impossible to understand the meaning of the full sentence.
