Lesson 3: Object & Possessive Pronouns
Welcome! When my students practice conversations, they sometimes mix up who is receiving an action and who owns an item. Today, we are focusing on Object Pronouns (the receivers) and Possessive Pronouns (the owners) so you can communicate clearly in any situation. Vocabulary List: Me (Object) - The speaker receiving an action. Them (Object) - Other people receiving an action. Us (Object) - The speaker and others receiving an action. Mine (Possessive) - Belonging to me. Yours (Possessive) - Belonging to you. Theirs (Possessive) - Belonging to them. Common Mistake: Possessive Pronoun vs. Adjective A possessive pronoun (like 'mine') stands alone and replaces the noun. A possessive adjective (like 'my') must sit next to a noun.
