warning Common Mistake
In Khmer, we often use the same word (ច្រើន) for everything. In English, we must use "many" for things we can count (many tuk-tuks) and "much" for things we cannot count (much water). Be careful mixing them up!

A lot of
A large number or amount. Can be used for both countable and uncountable nouns.

Example: There are a lot of tourists visiting Siem Reap today.

Zero Amount
No
Used to show zero quantity or that something is absent.
គ្មាន - បង្ហាញពីបរិមាណសូន្យ ឬអវត្តមាននៃអ្វីមួយ។
Example: We have no time to lose before the bus to Phnom Penh leaves.

Countable Nouns
Many
A large number. Used specifically with plural countable nouns.

Example: How many days will you stay at the hotel?

Uncountable Nouns
Much
A large amount. Used specifically with singular uncountable nouns.

Example: I don't carry much money in my wallet when I travel.
