Welcome! When my students in Battambang start asking questions or saying "no" in English, they often translate directly from Khmer and forget a tiny but powerful word: "do" (or "does"). In English, we need these "helper verbs" to form a complete sentence. Let's practice so you can ask for directions, talk to tourists, and describe what you don't like.

warning The "Double S" Mistake
In Khmer, we just add "ទេ" (te) or "មិន" (min). In English, you MUST use "don't" or "doesn't". Crucial Rule: After using "does" or "doesn't", the main verb NEVER has an "s".
✅ Correct: He doesn't work.
❌ Wrong: He doesn't works.
ច្បាប់សំខាន់៖ បន្ទាប់ពីប្រើ "does" ឬ "doesn't" កិរិយាសព្ទចម្បងមិនត្រូវមានអក្សរ "s" ទេ។ (ត្រូវ៖ "He doesn't work." ខុស៖ "He doesn't works.")

Do you...?
Used to ask a question directly to the person you are speaking to.
តើអ្នក...? - ប្រើសម្រាប់សួរសំណួរទៅកាន់ 'អ្នក'។
Example: Do you want to try some Num Banh Chok?
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ តើអ្នកចង់សាកល្បងនំបញ្ចុកខ្លះទេ?

Does she/he...?
Used to ask a question about one other person or thing (third-person singular).
តើនាង/គាត់...? - ប្រើសម្រាប់សួរសំណួរអំពី 'គាត់(ប្រុស)' 'នាង' ឬ 'វា'។
Example: Does she work as a guide at the Bat Caves?
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ តើនាងធ្វើការជាមគ្គុទ្ទេសក៍នៅរូងប្រចៀវមែនទេ?

Don't
Short for "do not". Used to make a negative sentence for I, you, we, and they.
មិន - ទម្រង់បំព្រួញនៃ "do not"។ ប្រើជាមួយ ខ្ញុំ អ្នក ពួកយើង ពួកគេ។
Example: We don't have time to visit the floating village today.
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ ពួកយើងមិនមានពេលទៅលេងភូមិបណ្តែតទឹកទេថ្ងៃនេះ។

Doesn't
Short for "does not". Used to make a negative sentence for he, she, and it.
មិន - ទម្រង់បំព្រួញនៃ "does not"។ ប្រើជាមួយ គាត់ នាង វា។
Example: The remorque (tuk-tuk) doesn't go all the way up the mountain.

Used to ask a question about a group of people, places, or things.
តើពួកគេ...? - សួរអំពីក្រុមមនុស្ស ឬវត្ថុ។
Example: Do they accept US dollars at this cafe?
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ តើពួកគេទទួលប្រាក់ដុល្លារនៅហាងកាហ្វេនេះទេ?

I don't...
Expressing something you personally do not do or do not like.
ខ្ញុំមិន... - បញ្ជាក់ពីអ្វីមួយដែលអ្នកផ្ទាល់មិនធ្វើ ឬមិនចូលចិត្ត។
Example: I don't drink coffee, but I love fresh coconut water.
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ ខ្ញុំមិនផឹកកាហ្វេទេ ប៉ុន្តែខ្ញុំចូលចិត្តទឹកដូងស្រស់។
