Hi Kanha! A "Coat" is usually longer (down to the thighs or knees) and heavier, meant for very cold weather. A "Jacket" is shorter (stops at the waist) and usually lighter. 🧥

Are "Pants" and "Trousers" the exact same thing?

Great question! In American English, "Pants" is the general word for any long legwear. In British English, they say "Trousers" (and to them, "Pants" means underwear!). It is safer to use "Trousers" in formal situations! 👖
