 Reading Passage

Abraham Maslow was a psychologist who created a theory about human behavior. He believed that humans have five levels of needs. These needs are often shown as a pyramid.

At the bottom are the Basic Needs, like food and safety. You cannot focus on higher goals if you are hungry or unsafe. Once these are met, people seek Psychological Needs, like friends and respect. Finally, at the top, is Self-Actualization: the desire to become the best person you can be.
