Planning a Party
Lesson Goal: Learn how to listen for specific event details, suggestions, and decisions during a planning conversation.
Listening for Logistics
When people plan an event together, they have to make several decisions quickly. They discuss the who, where, what, and when.
When listening to a planning conversation, pay attention to the suggestions people make and the final choices they agree on. For example, if someone asks, "What about food?", listen closely to the next sentence to hear if they decide to order pizza or make it a potluck.
Go to the next card to learn the event planning vocabulary, then listen to Alice and Ben plan a party in the Listen tab!
