At the Hair Salon
Giving instructions for a haircut and style.
Communicating Style
Getting a haircut in a new language can be nerve-wracking! If you don't use the right vocabulary, you might leave the salon looking completely different than you planned.
When listening or speaking in a salon, pay attention to specific verbs and descriptive words. A "trim" means cutting just a tiny bit off the ends, while "layers" means cutting the hair at different lengths. If you want to change your hair color, you need to use the word "dye".
Go to the next tab to learn the salon vocabulary, then listen to the conversation in the Practice tab to hear these words in action!
