Lesson 20: Emotions (Happy/Sad)

🎧 Listening Lab
Foundations

Emotions

Talking about feelings and reasons.

Lesson Goal: Practice listening to people describe their emotions and identifying the events that caused them.

Describing Feelings

In conversation, people often use adjectives to describe how they feel. They also use the word "because" or mention an event to explain why they feel that way.

When listening, pay attention to the tone of voice. A higher, faster tone often signals happy or excited feelings, while a lower, slower tone can signal sad or tired feelings.
