Email Protocol
In the modern workplace, email is the primary way we communicate with managers, coworkers, and clients. However, not all emails are written the same way!
A formal email (like one from Human Resources or a new client) uses complete sentences, professional greetings, and clear deadlines. An informal email (like one from a teammate) uses casual language, abbreviations like "re:" (regarding), and conversational greetings like "Hey guys."
When reading work emails, you must learn to scan for the most important parts: Who sent it? What is the request? Is there an attachment? And what is the deadline?
Learn the vocabulary in the next tab, then practice reading real workplace emails!

Hey guys,
Just checking in about the team lunch this Friday. Are we still good for 12:30 PM?
Also, does anyone have dietary restrictions? I'm thinking of booking a table at the new Italian place, but let me know if you'd prefer sushi instead.
Let me know by tomorrow morning so I can make the reservation.

To Whom It May Concern,
I received my shipment for Order #5542 this morning. However, upon inspection, I noticed that two items are missing.
I have attached a photo of the packing slip. Please look into this matter and let me know when the remaining items will be shipped.
I expect a prompt response.
