A personal narrative is a story about your life. To make it interesting, it must have a clear Beginning, Middle, and End.
អត្ថបទរៀបរាប់ផ្ទាល់ខ្លួនគឺជារឿងរ៉ាវអំពីជីវិតរបស់អ្នក។ ដើម្បីឱ្យវាគួរឱ្យចាប់អារម្មណ៍ វាត្រូវតែមាន ផ្នែកផ្តើម តួសេចក្តី និង បញ្ចប់ ច្បាស់លាស់។

The 3-Part Structure

1. Beginning (The Setting): "Last weekend, I went to Kampot to sketch nature for my new blog."
(ផ្នែកផ្តើម៖ ប្រាប់ពីពេលវេលា ទីកន្លែង និងអ្វីដែលអ្នកកំពុងធ្វើ។)
2. Middle (The Problem/Action): "Suddenly, it started raining heavily. I ran to a cafe, but my sketchbook got wet."
(តួសេចក្តី៖ បញ្ហា ឬសកម្មភាពសំខាន់ដែលបានកើតឡើង។)
3. End (The Result): "In the end, the wet ink looked like a cool style. I felt very proud of my new drawing."
(ផ្នែកបញ្ចប់៖ លទ្ធផល និងអារម្មណ៍របស់អ្នកនៅចុងបញ្ចប់។)

Use words like First, Then, and Finally to organize your story.

Show, Don't Tell

Don't just say how you felt. Describe your actions so the reader can see it!
(កុំគ្រាន់តែនិយាយថាអ្នកមានអារម្មណ៍យ៉ាងណា។ ចូររៀបរាប់ពីសកម្មភាពរបស់អ្នក ដើម្បីឱ្យអ្នកអានអាចស្រមៃឃើញ!)
Telling (Boring): "I was happy to see my first printed T-shirt."
(ការប្រាប់ត្រង់ៗ៖ "ខ្ញុំសប្បាយចិត្តដែលបានឃើញអាវយឺតបោះពុម្ពលើកដំបូងរបស់ខ្ញុំ។")
Showing (Better): "I smiled widely and jumped up when I saw my first printed T-shirt."

Hi Rithy! It depends on the task, but a good goal is 2-3 short paragraphs (about 100 words). Use 1 paragraph to set the scene (Beginning), 1 for the main action (Middle), and a final sentence or two for the conclusion and your feelings (End). Quality is better than quantity! 📖
