Lifelong Lexicon

ការថែរក្សាកម្រងវាក្យសព្ទពេញមួយជីវិត

Reaching C2 is not the end; maintaining an expert lexicon requires deliberate strategy.

ការឈានដល់កម្រិត C2 មិនមែនជាទីបញ្ចប់នោះទេ ការថែរក្សាវាក្យសព្ទកម្រិតខ្ពស់ទាមទារឱ្យមានយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រច្បាស់លាស់។

Lexical Attrition Concept: "Use it or lose it" The gradual loss of vocabulary over time due to a lack of usage. ការបាត់បង់វាក្យសព្ទបន្តិចម្តងៗដោយសារការមិនបានប្រើប្រាស់
Fossilization Concept: Stuck at a plateau When language errors or simple vocabulary choices become a permanent habit. ទម្លាប់នៃការប្រើពាក្យសាមញ្ញៗ ឬកំហុសដដែលៗដែលពិបាកកែប្រែ

Etymological Analysis Strategy: Tracing roots Studying the historical origin of words to instantly deduce meanings of new terms. ការវិភាគនិរុត្តិសាស្ត្រ (ការសិក្សាពីប្រវត្តិ និងប្រភពដើមនៃពាក្យ)
Semantic Nuance Strategy: Precision Understanding the subtle differences in meaning or feeling between very similar words. ភាពខុសគ្នាបន្តិចបន្តួចនៃអត្ថន័យ និងអារម្មណ៍រវាងពាក្យស្រដៀងគ្នា

Spaced Repetition Strategy: Memory optimization Reviewing words at scientifically increasing intervals to lock them into long-term memory. ការរំលឹកដោយទុកចន្លោះពេលដើម្បីបញ្ជូនពាក្យទៅការចងចាំរយៈពេលយូរ
Active Transference Strategy: Implementation Deliberately moving words from your "passive" reading vocabulary into your "active" speaking vocabulary. ការផ្លាស់ប្តូរពីការគ្រាន់តែស្គាល់ ទៅជាការប្រើប្រាស់ជាក់ស្តែងក្នុងការនិយាយ ឬសរសេរ
warning The Competence Trap!

Don't confuse recognition with mastery!

(កុំច្រឡំការគ្រាន់តែស្គាល់ពាក្យ ថាជាភាពស្ទាត់ជំនាញឱ្យសោះ!)
Passive Recognition
"I know what 'mitigate' means when I read it." close
Active Mastery
"I seamlessly used 'mitigate' in my presentation today." check

Absolutely! Anki is the gold standard for Spaced Repetition Systems (SRS). You can create your own decks with C2 vocabulary, and the algorithm will test you exactly when you are about to forget the word! psychology

I feel like my speaking vocab is stuck at B2, even though I read at C2. How do I fix this?

This is classic "Fossilization" combined with a lack of "Active Transference". You need to force it. Pick 3 advanced words every morning, write them on a sticky note, and mandate yourself to use them in meetings or conversations that day. Don't wait for the 'perfect' moment! record_voice_over

Read challenging material that you genuinely enjoy! Publications like The Economist, scholarly journals in your field, or classic literature. When you see a word you vaguely know but wouldn't use, that's your target! my_location
