At C2, you don't memorize lists. You decode roots, sense connotations, and absorb words intuitively.
Morphology
Decoding roots and affixes.

(Well-meaning and kindly).

Contextual Intuition
Learning from the environment.
Adjective Ubiquitous
/juːˈbɪkwɪtəs/
Context: "Motorbikes and tuk-tuks are ubiquitous on the streets of Phnom Penh."
(Found everywhere).
The Thesaurus Trap
Never use a complex word if you don't fully grasp its connotation and collocation.
"He was interrogated about his favorite color."
"Interrogate" is for police/criminals, not casual questions!
"He was asked about his favorite color."
Simple is often more accurate.

Excellent question, Vireak. To move a word from passive to active, you must force output. When you learn a new word like 'ubiquitous', immediately write 3 true sentences about your own life using it. Then, try to naturally drop it into a conversation within 24 hours. Usage builds the neural pathway! 🧠✍️
Teacher, I can understand advanced words when I read them (passive), but I can't remember to use them when I speak (active). How do I fix this?
