Phrasal verbs behave differently. Some act like magnets magnet (they can be pulled apart), and some act like chains link (they are locked together).

If the object is a Pronoun (it, them, him, her), it MUST go in the middle!

Inseparable (Chains) link

ប្រភេទដែលមិនអាចបំបែកបានដាច់ខាត
Verb + Particle + Object
I look after my sister. ខ្ញុំមើលថែប្អូនស្រីរបស់ខ្ញុំ។
I look after her. ទោះប្រើ Pronoun ក៏វាមិនបំបែកដែរ! (NOT: look her after close)
I ran into an old friend. ខ្ញុំបានជួបមិត្តចាស់ដោយចៃដន្យ។

Hi Panha! That's the tricky part. There is no simple rule! You just have to learn them as you go. When you write a new one in your notebook, write (S) for Separable and (I) for Inseparable next to it! menu_bookedit
