Can you break the verb apart?

Pick it up. / Put it away. ✅
(Separable: These can break apart for a pronoun.)
Look it for. ❌
(Inseparable: It MUST be "Look for it".)

Hi Sovan! That is the hardest part about phrasal verbs! Unfortunately, there is no magic rule to tell them apart just by looking at them. You simply have to memorize them as you learn them. A good dictionary will tell you! For now, remember: "Pick up" and "Throw away" are separable, "Look for" is inseparable. 🧠
